Ohm's Law Calculator
Solve V, I, R and P from any two known values. Pick the pair you know and instantly get the other two plus dissipated power.
About This Calculator
Ohm's law is the foundation of every circuit. From any two of V, I and R, the third follows, and power follows from the product. Choose which pair you know, enter the values, and read all four quantities.
How to Use
- Pick the pair of quantities you know.
- Enter the two known values (the third field is ignored in that mode).
- Read the derived third quantity and the dissipated power.
- Use the E-series preferred values lookup in the related tools when choosing a real resistor.
Formulas
| Ohm's law | V = I × R |
| Power | P = V × I = I²·R = V² / R |
Design Notes
Power shown is the idealized DC dissipation; for AC/inductive loads see the Power Calculator.
Keep V, I, R in base units (V, A, Ω) for consistent results.
